Signature Hang A Ri Kalbi Marinated in Clay Pot for 48 Hours

New York, NY (PRWEB) January 04, 2012

The choice of a best Barbecue restaurant in any region can be made by its unique technique of providing authenticate food. While miss Korea BBQ NYC has not only proved its specialty in Korean BBQ taste, it has very well managed to score high in applying a new concept of Nano Technology to Clay Pot Kalbi.

At miss Korea, you will encounter Onggi, Korean ethnic earthenware, which was extensively used as tableware as well as storage containers in Ancient Korea, and It has valuable status in Korean food culture.

Since ancient times, it was believed that Onggi was breathing vessels. Closely observing the surface of Onggi with a microscope magnified more than 1500 times, you can see numerous fine pores. The size of each pore is around 1-20㎛. Oxygen molecules with its 0.000022㎛ size can come in and out of the pores whereas 2,000㎛ water molecules cannot. Therefore, the fact that air can easily come in and out of the pores is expressed as ‘breathing.’

This scientific structure allows Onggi to have the Rot-proofing feature during fermentation process and even to help food well-fermented so that it can bring out the essence of each ingredients’ taste while it still keeps the original nature of the food.

Miss Korea BBQ’s signature ‘Clay Pot Kalbi’ is also matured in Onggi over a couple of days and you sure feel the huge difference in texture and flavor from ordinary Kalbi.

It also proudly serves the favorite dishes of United State’s President Barack Obama, Bulgogi with top quality prime Angus beef marinated with their own in-house made sauce.

Question by Billy Y: Need ideas for decorations in a black and white fish aquarium?
I’m looking for any neat do it yourself fish tank decorations. I’m also thinking about overturning some clay pots to put as decorations in my fish tank. Does anyone know where or how I can get a black clay pot that wouldn’t be harmful to fish. I’d like to do black/white decos in my fish tank but have no ideas on what else would be neat in there besides black sand or gravel mixed with white gravel.

Best answer:

Answer by bennett.annie21
This is a tricky situation because fish can be so sensitive.

I am a ceramics major, and all too often I hear stories of people planting their plants in a glazed pot, and it dying because of what leeches out of the glaze.

Rule of thumb, only buy decorations from an aquarium store. They are sure to use fish safe products. Invest in some fish safe disinfectant and always wipe down or boil in water whatever you are going to add.

This will take alot of research on your part, because even sea shells will change the ph of water.

Alameda, CA (PRWEB) March 27, 2012

Now that CompoClay is settled in its Northern California headquarters, the eco-friendly material manufacturer is completely focusing on product development. Its in-house designers have been working diligently to expand CompoClay’s product offerings, which include green home accents, garden decor and architectural elements. Some of these new designs were introduced at the NorCal Spring Trade Show this past February and many more are slated for unveiling at the upcoming National Hardware Show, occurring from May 1 to May 3.

“This is just the beginning. It’s a really exciting time for us right now,” CEO Andy Choi of CompoClay said. “Now that we are settled, we have more time to really focus our energies on product development. We will continue to offer new designs and products and to work on custom projects. Stay tuned. This isn’t the last you’ve heard of CompoClay.”

Eco-friendly designs currently available from CompoClay include planters, sculptures, wall décor and mirrors. The upcoming expansion will also focus on home accents, such as picture frames, candleholders, cases, flower pots and bookends. New garden décor and landscape–CompoClay’s most robust category–will include brand new living wall planters, outdoor stools, patio furniture sets and Planter Ash-Trash.

“With the continuing growth of green building, CompoClay hopes to further develop its line of decorative building products that currently consists of wall panels, ceiling troughs, railing and insulation panels,” Choi said.

To date, CompoClay has designed and manufactured eco-friendly products for companies like Gump’s San Francisco and Studio-A, and seeks to establish more partnerships in the future. CompoClay’s products are handmade and hand-finished down to every exquisite detail, and inspected to meet CompoClay’s rigorous quality standards.

AMACO

Indianapolis, IN (PRWEB) December 28, 2009

AMACO/Brent has redesigned the 2010 catalog which features over 4000 products into a clay art primer for teachers. The new catalog is divided into 3 sections: Safe Products for Full Firing Clay Programs, Safe Products for Non-Firing Art Programs, and Necessary Tools & Supplies. AMACO takes its customers step-by-step through ceramic clays, specialty glaze pencils and chalks available only through AMACO, to low fire and mid-fire cone 5-6 glazes, through wheel throwing and kiln firing. Then AMACO concludes the 2010 catalog with all the clay and sculpting tools needed in the classroom or studio.

The firing products are highlighted by 584 premium lead free glazes, the most trusted glazes purchased by schools, because of their reliability and consistency of results which is important for successful outcomes for students. The bright colors and earthenware effects of AMACO glazes react differently on a variety of clays, and the new AMACO 2010 catalog shows teachers how to choose clays, glazes, wheels and kilns. In addition AMACO makes Brent potter’s wheels, the best engineered wheel in the world which is why it’s the most popular in schools and professional studios. Brent wheels often perform as long as 30 years, just like AMACO square kilns! The recently invented QuickCenter™ helps teachers get a number of kids proficient at centering clay, so that once they feel ‘center” they can throw a pot without any help.

With the economy hindering art budgets, AMACO has begun highlighting non-firing pottery supply products in an all-new section that offers teachers air dry clays, including new Cloud Clay™ in 8 colors, and modeling and sculpting compounds like Sculptamold and Claycrete which are used for sculpture, dioramas and topographical maps, puppetry and marionettes, drama scenery and props. Another modeling medium becoming popular in school catalogs such as Blick is Friendly Plastic® Designer Sticks which can be used to embellish masks, some of which are molded from Friendly Plastic® Pellets, a staple product for scientific experiments, scale models and professional costume departments. Now, AMACO carries Balsa-Foam carving blocks which can be cut as easily as slicing butter and paints up just like wood. Balsa-Foam has been used for scale models for architecture, school dioramas and train sets, and was even used to create the set design for movies like Saving Private Ryan. Balsa-Foam® also can be used to create custom stamps for applying ceramic glazes in an image transfer process that is easier than making linoleum or wooden blocks for printing.

The new AMACO/Brent catalog for 2010 refers teachers to the AMACO.com website where art lesson plans and techniques are available for most of the AMACO product line. An additional online craft library also helps teachers who are buying art ‘n craft materials and modeling tools from stores such as Hobby Lobby, Michael’s and Jo-Ann’s. Because so many art teachers are taking over classrooms without a formal education in ceramic arts and wheel throwing, the new AMACO/Brent catalog strives to educate teachers about clay arts.

For further information on the 2010 catalog or to learn more about the supplies available through the American Art Clay Company, visit http://www.AMACO.com, or call (800) 374-1600.

San Francisco (PRWEB) July 8, 2010

The American Craft Council Show in San Francisco arrives at Fort Mason Center, August 13 -15, with new categories and new interactive events. Debuting this year are the Handmade Under $ 100 category, which showcases artists who make work at price points of $ 100 or less, and Lawn and Garden, highlighting artists who make furniture and décor for the outdoors. A special ‘$ 5 After 5’ Friday night event offers $ 5 admission after 5 p.m. to shop, sample wines and participate in a DIY craft lesson at the Museum of Craft and Folk Art CRAFT BAR with ETSY Labs, right on the show floor. Children can exercise their creativity as well, at a MakeArt craft workshop on Saturday afternoon, sponsored by San Francisco Museum of Craft + Design. The largest juried craft show in the West, The American Craft Council Show in San Francisco features 250 artists from the Bay Area and beyond. The show celebrates the spirit of making and owning handmade objects and also will feature an AltCraft section of special juried indie artists, a green craft category, and live demonstrations.

“The 2010 American Craft Council Show showcases the variety, ingenuity and quality of craft on the West Coast,” said Bernadette Boyle, Director of Marketing and Communications for the American Craft Council. “By adding the new Handmade Under $ 100 and Lawn and Garden categories and introducing hands-on demonstrations for children and adults, we hope to inspire a new audience and new generations of visitors to explore craft and celebrate the Bay Area’s thriving culture of making.”
