Question by louisebaxter1121: can you tile over painted clay pots? if so, how? is there a specific glue for glass?
do the pots need to be sealed?
the paint was just standard house paint.
i know about the adhesive and grouting i need to do.
i just want to know if the adhesive will stick to the walls of the pot if they have old paint on them.

Try this coat the pots with masonry adhesive it looks and smells about the same as white glue you buy at the store. When the glue gets tacky spatter it with grout let the spattered grout dry. This will give you a base for the tile work.Try the same technique on your glass project.
