New Xpanse™ Sheds Create Opportunities for Contractors and Homeowners

Cleveland, OH (PRWEB) November 30, 2010

Barrette Outdoor Living introduces Xpanse™ Sheds, an outdoor storage system marrying customizable space with great aesthetics. Available at independent lumberyards, three series of Xpanse Sheds, at a variety of price points, can be personalized by contractors to meet the homeowner’s needs.

“For years, homeowners thought of sheds and other outdoor storage systems as eyesores, made from rusting metal, brittle plastic or peeling wood that were always in need of maintenance,” said John Zbozien, Xpanse product manager “Few withstood the elements and even less added to the landscaping of the yard. Xpanse Sheds are a huge improvement over other brands of sheds.”

Xpanse Elite, Premier and Select Series Sheds are contractor installed exterior storage systems engineered for durability. All three series have features and benefits that meet homeowners’ needs and provide many options for contractors.

Xpanse Select Series Sheds

Xpanse Select Sheds are ideal for condominium residents or homeowners with limited outdoor space. The four feet wide by seven feet long shed can be used to store bicycles, grills, mowers, etc. The Select Series was engineered for low maintenance performance and maximum durability against severe weather, high winds and extreme temperatures. Complete with lockable doors, the Select Series comes in tan with a slant roof designed to save space.

Xpanse Premier Series Sheds

Premier Series Sheds can be used as a storage space, potting shed, workshop, pool house, backyard fort or anything else a homeowner can imagine. Each has architectural shingles, gable and door windows. Priced at a midrange, the sheds double to suit recreational needs.

The Premier Series is available in a tan with white trim color option and in five sizes ranging from eight feet wide by six feet long to 10 feet wide by 10 feet long. The sheds have their own gutter system and are durable and strong enough to withstand strong winds and snow loads. Premier Series includes a 10-year limited warranty.

Xpanse Elite Series Sheds

The Elite Series offers the best Xpanse shed storage system. They have architecturally styled shingles, durable metal truss system and a staggered seam designed to eliminate roof gaps. The shed floor is heavy-duty and slip resistant enabling the support of thousands of pounds. Other features of this series include an integrated ramp and steel constructed lockable doors.

The Elite Series comes with E-Z fasteners and pre-cut holes. The siding kits are quick and easy to install and come in clay, white, tan and customizable color options and are made with durable maintenance free vinyl that do not require staining or painting. Like the Premier Series, the Elite Series comes with a 10-year limited warranty and in 10 feet wide by eight feet tall and 10 feet wide by 12 feet tall sizes.

Xpanse Sheds are part of Barrette Outdoor Living’s complete offering of railing, fencing, lattice and accents. All Xpanse products complement each other and couple to form a complete, cohesive outdoor experience that can be personalized for each homeowner.

Xpanse Sheds install quickly for contractors and includes step-by-step instructions. Xpanse sheds are designed to outperform any metal or resin system currently available, virtually eliminating contractor callbacks. PegLegChef.com Offers Inventory Based on Personally Tested Products

Greensboro, NC (PRWEB) December 10, 2008

PegLegChef.com, a site that sells various kitchenware items, was established by sisters Wendy Price and Donna Price. And unlike other kitchen sites, some of the inventory was actually selected based upon personal use.

PegLegChef.com was first launched in August 2008. The site’s extensive inventory currently includes cooking and baking needs as well as electric kitchen appliances. There are also pot and pan sets and various dish options such as dining sets and flatware.

“We have a lot of variety on our site. Whether you’re a novice or an expert, you can find what your kitchen needs,” said Price. “Also, things are always changing. As items become available, we’ll be adding new products to the site.”

Before establishing the site, both Wendy and Donna agreed that Peg Leg Chef had to carry quality items that were both long-lasting and dependable, including brands such as Corelle.

“We carry brands on our site that we use in our own kitchens,” said Price. “Our products are made with the kind of quality and reliability that is really difficult to find nowadays.”

Other site updates include implementation of a blog at http://www.PegLegChefInfo.com. Meant to be an informational platform for the site’s customers, the blog will cover a variety of kitchen and cooking-related topics. This will include anything from site updates and promotions to creative gift ideas involving kitchenware.

Building the site around this principle of quality, the site is also concerned with healthier cooking options. As such, Peg Leg Chef carries a variety of steamers and clay bakers.

“We wanted to offer kitchenware that was great quality without a high price tag,” said Price. “We definitely want these items to be something everyone can afford and enjoy.”

About PegLegChef.com:

PegLegChef.com was launched in August 2008 by sisters Wendy and Donna Price. Both sisters had always loved to bake and cook, and as such, they decided to establish a kitchenware website. The resulting site features a large variety of cookware as well as electric kitchen appliances. The variety of products ensures that every chef, no matter the skill level, can use the available products. Continually adding new products to the inventory list, the site has also recently launched an informational blog associated with the site.

Labor Day Open House at Homestead Heritage Traditional Craft Village

Labor Day Open House at Homestead Heritage Traditional Craft Village

Elm Mott, TX (PRWEB) September 02, 2011

Homestead Heritage will host their 16th annual Labor Day Festival at Homestead Heritage Traditional Craft Village beginning at 10 am on Labor Day, September 5.

This year’s event will feature Sustainable Living Seminars and Make-Your-Own Craft Activities as well as ongoing horse-drawn hayrides, music at noon, indoor/outdoor food selections and craft demonstrations throughout the day.

“This will be a day of fun and education for the whole family,” said community spokesman Josiah Wheeler. “We really just want to give folks the opportunity to step aside from the fast pace of urban culture and experience a day in a wholesome, community atmosphere with music, hayrides, great food and real-life education on sustainable life skills and crafts.”

New to the festival this year will be a mini-series of free sustainable living seminars starting at 10 am in the Red Barn on the Ploughshare Institute for Sustainable Culture campus. Wheeler, Ploughshare’s Development Director, has noticed a steady increase in attendance at the crafts and sustainable living skills classes the school offers year-round. “Over the last few years we’ve seen a greatly increased interest in learning sustainable life skills and have had to start scheduling overflow classes in many subject areas for our spring and summer sessions. Folks from all walks of life are beginning to realize a very real need to be more self-reliant and want to rediscover and learn the skills that are necessary to provide their own basic needs.” Some of the more popular subjects of the classes will be featured in the Labor Day seminars.

Make-Your-Own activities in the Craft Village shops and the Gift Shop will be another new feature this year. “At our annual fairs and festivals we have found that Make-Your-Own Activities – which we originally provided for children of all ages – have become increasingly popular with adults as well!” Wheeler noted. Although the hot weather will limit the selections they offer outdoors during Labor Day, you’ll find projects in each air-conditioned craft shop. In Heritage Fine Furniture, you can carve a wooden spatula using only hand tools. At the nearby Potter’s House you can form a pinch pot basket out of clay. Just across the shaded footbridge, you’ll find Heritage Forge, where you can hammer and shape a spoon from pure brass. At Homestead Fiber Crafts you can weave a coaster. Be sure to stop by the water pool filled with a fleet of floating wooden sailboats – even if you don’t build a boat yourself you’ll enjoy watching the creators test their models for seaworthiness!

Throughout the day, community craftsmen will demonstrate the heritage craft skills of pottery making, blacksmithing, spinning, weaving, quilting, basketry and more in their air-conditioned shops as well as the centrally located gift shop. Allow ample time to visit each one. Take time to see the restored eighteenth- and nineteenth-century timber-frame buildings that are part of the craft village. At the 1760’s restored Gristmill you can watch the water-powered stones grind whole grains into fresh flour. Taste samples of cornbread, gingerbread, muffins, cookies and more at the mill store.

Outdoor food choices include delicious grass-fed beef hot dogs and sausage-on-a-stick hot off the grill, fresh brick oven pizza, funnel cakes and real homemade ice cream! Or enjoy lunch at Cafe Homestead, which features freshly prepared food made with locally sourced ingredients in a comfortable, air-conditioned environment.

When: Labor Day

         Monday, Sept. 5 – 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Seminar Schedule:

10:00 am – Sustainable Gardening – An introduction to producing your own healthy food in your own backyard or on your own farm, using natural, sustainable methods

11:00 am – Backyard Chickens and Other Poultry – An introduction to raising your own chickens, ducks, geese and turkeys and as an integral part of a healthy homestead

1:00 Pm – Beekeeping – A seminar on keeping bees as a source of honey and for pollination, an essential part of a sustainable homestead
